I paint to let people know how beautiful the world is. My abstract works usually include portraits. I have developed a specific style for a 2-D painter making it 3-D art. I have a very involved process: painting on two panels, a back and a forward, then building a box in which to hold and present the work. Step three of the process is jig-sawing the front panel into pieces which are then placed over the back panel. Step four is putting at least two holes in each piece. Step five is putting pegs through the holes then pushing and pulling until the front panel is 3-D. LED lights are then placed behind blinds made in the box. The final product is lighted for effect and intrigue. The 3-D cutouts show that the world is made up of many pieces to make the whole. My works reflect the unity I see in the many pieces of life.
