Growing up, her mother was a fiber artist and used organic materials like bone in her work. She was fascinated by her families collection of bones and rocks. She was drawn to the fantastical by movies like Labyrinth, Legend, Neverending Story, and The Dark Crystal. In 2004 she discovered Pop Surrealism while browsing on Deviantart.com and it inspired her to start painting large scale again. Since then she’s painted well over 500 pieces that she has sent out into the world.
